Get up close and personal with the river on a family rafting tour at Ausable Chasm. The scenic float tours are an exciting and memorable experience for the entire family. There is no minimum age for rafting, guests must be 30 lbs. and up*. Departing from the formidable Table Rock, your rafting journey begins between the towering cliffs of the Grand Flume, the narrowest and deepest section of Ausable Chasm. Your guide will show you stunning rock formations such as the Sentry Box and Broken Needle before navigating through the rapids and around the Whirlpool Basin. The tour concludes with a picturesque glide to the landing area where our guides discuss the unique history of the chasm.

After guests have taken either the raft or tube ride at the regular rate we invite you to go again for just $15 per trip. That’s more than 50% off each additional adult trip! The float tours are very popular during the summer. We advise you to come early to avoid a possible wait for the optional float tour portion of your visit. Rafts can accommodate up to 10 guests, and tours may include guests from other groups. Reservations are not possible, so you might wait 60 minutes or more between 11am and 2pm. We feel the experience is worth the wait, but if you don't have ample time, please arrive early. We open at 9am, daily.
